Marketing and Communications Associate

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Marketing and Communications Associate for our boutique marketing agency and consultancy in Lithia, Florida. The position will be largely work-from-home, so the successful candidate will be self-motivated, flexible, and interested in continually expanding his or her knowledge base. We offer a flexible work schedule and hours, but you will be responsible for attending regular team and client meetings (via phone, video conference or in-person), as well as networking meetings and events on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate is highly detail- oriented, thrives under pressure, and is successful at building relationships with clients and business partners. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining multiple, simultaneous projects.


  • Assist in the day-to-day responsibilities of digital marketing execution, from hands-on operational work to project management.
  • Research and competitive analysis for SEO, PPC, and social media advertising campaigns.
  • Manage and update client websites, portals, and third party tools. Knowledge of content management systems is preferred.
  • Edit images and produce simple promotional graphics. 
  • Assist with tracking and follow-up on client website ticketing and maintenance issues.
  • Conceptualize, design, and write marketing copy for external audiences to include website, social media, collateral, thought leadership pieces (blogs, articles), etc. 
  • Report daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly results on our campaigns - including developing client briefs.
  • Experience creating and maintaining reports in Excel or Google Spreadsheets.

We're Excited About You Because You Have:

  • Ideally 1 or 2 years of digital marketing experience. This could be running paid advertising, crafting (and launching) email campaigns, writing/publishing blog and social media content.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills - especially when juggling multiple projects at the same time.
  • You are highly proactive, results-obsessed and are constantly looking for ways to improve how things work.
  • Self-starter with ability to execute independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a keen interest in writing for web and mobile. You’re a master proofreader!
  • Personal interest in staying up-to-date on the latest marketing trends - you read blogs, attend conferences, and are always learning.
  • Passion and ability to work well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, while collaborating closely with others outside of your discipline.
  • You like solving problems and have a knack for being analytical and using your critical thinking skills.
  • Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Passion for excellence, results, and team collaboration.
  • Ability to think outside the box and explore new ways of executing projects.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to assist with trade shows, client on-site meetings, and presentations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field.
  • One (1) or more years in communications or marketing for professional services or consulting firms preferred, but other experience considered.
  • Experience with writing and developing marketing or promotional content for a variety of channels to include digital and traditional mediums.
  • Intermediate to high level of experience with Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint, and knowledge of other programs like WordPress, Hootsuite, Hubspot,  Adobe Creative Suite, and Salesforce a plus.
  • Excellent time management and ability to efficiently and effectively accomplish jobs.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with creative freedom.
